Music is one of those things that indicates you are an adult. You must abandon it due to "obligations." I get no communications of "finds" that my adult friends advising what they are listening to. Such is the 21st Century.
We attended the Lindsey Stirling & Evanescence concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center last Thursday. Lindsey was the headliner and idolized Evanesence as a teenager. She and Amy Lee have become friends and they did duets during both parts of the concert. Amazing stuff. You might know Lindsey as the explosive pixie redhead dancing on the stage. She is now having more fun as a blonde.

Lindsey Stirling is a phenomenon. She invented a genera of music. While it has been called Hip-hop violin, she is truly a one of a kind musician. She has been awarded honors in the Classical Crossover category. Her live act is a combination of virtuoso violin combined with superb dance and choreography. The result is that she is a stunning success on YouTube. Enjoy.

Evanescence is a remarkable bunch. They have been on hiatus and have returned with a new Rock / Orchestral album in 2017 and are touring in 2018 with Lindsay Stirling. Amy Lee, who is the front for the band, is a classically trained pianist, soprano and composer. She is also one of the most powerful female vocalists in rock, right up there with Grace Slick and Annie Wilson of Heart.
