I don't think I ever sent a commercial as something FUN STUFF before. This is a great introduction to Dream Theater if you are not familiar with the band. They are a progressive metal band. NO USA AIRPLAY they have been around for over 25 years. Progressive Metal as a sub-genera that includes maybe three bands.
Of course it is Rock based. Think Yes meets Metallica. Progressive in this context means the musicians are REALLY GOOD and had the Beatles as an early influence. Metal means the sound is infrequently acoustic but mostly exciting, exhuberant and loud. Dream Theater has a new two-CD rock Opera coming out called "The Astonishing" and a tour seeing them at Radio City in April.
This commercial is also fascinating from the tech standpoint as you get a tour of all the guitar controls. As a photographer, I "get" the idea of being one with the controls, the guitar is probably more sensitive as an instrument.
Enjoy, you don't need to stay for the entire piece to get the gist..
